Naeba (Mt.Naeba) Japan

This resort is amongst the ten highest elevated ski resorts in Japan the elevation between 900m – 1,789m. The verticle drop from the summit is 889m and the average altitude of all resorts in Japan is 909m, considered to be the best-rated ski resort in Japan with the season covering December to May. It offers 100km of well-groomed slopes and great terrain it’s served by 15 lifts and its longest ski run is 4km it is the largest ski resort in Japan. Naeba is suitable for all skiing levels with 30km of easy runs, 40km of moderate and 30km of advanced.

Shymbulak Kazakhstan

Here you will find deserted slopes where you can appreciate its natural surroundings, it’s a quiet ski resort so if you are looking for vibrant nightlife it’s not here. Shymbulak is also known as Chimbulak and its only 25 minutes from Almaty which is the largest city in Kazakhstan so all the nightlife is there. Eight lifts serve the slopes here but the off-piste skiing is wonderful on crisp snow with sunny bright skies. Located in the Zaiilsky Alatau mountain range its elevation is between 2,200m – 3,200m with a verticle drop of 1000m with 20km of slopes ideal for snowboarders.

Mitsumata/Kagura/Tashira (Mt.Naeba) Japan

They are rated amongst the best five ski resorts in Japan and in the top five for the resorts with the best conditions. Its elevation is between 620m – 1,845m with a verticle drop of 1,225m and offers over 100km of well-groomed slopes and ideal terrain with the majority of the runs here being long. They are within the top largest resorts in the Mt.Naeba range, great for all skiing abilities with 35km of easy runs, 45km of moderate and 20km of advanced and they are served by 23 lifts.

Yabuli Ski Resort China

The ski resort is located on the Yabuli Sun Mountain part of the Changbai range and it’s the largest ski resort in China with the largest ski jumping facilities. The base to summit elevation is between 397m – 1345m and the season run from November to March. The 1996 Asian winter games were held here signifying the quality of the slopes, there are 9 lifts with 9 moderate to advanced alpine pistes, a 5km Nordic trail and 500m gentle slopes for beginners.

For advanced level skiers, there is the alpine prime piste which covers 3000m.

Shigakogen Mountain Resort – Japan

This lovely ski resort is amongst the top three family-friendly resorts and best-rated resorts in Japan. Its elevation is between 1,335m – 2,307m and it is the highest elevated ski resort. From the summit to the base its verticle drop is 972m the season here is from November to April with an average snow depth of 304cm offering the best snow conditions in Japan. The terrain is excellent and there are 83km of very well groomed slopes making it in the top largest ski resort Japan has to offer. Superb for families it’s a great ski resort for all with 41km of easy runs, 30km of moderate and 12km of advanced all served by 58 lifts.
