Getting There..
Getting to this bargain skiing haven can be as easy as travelling to neighbouring France. Budget airlines or scheduled carriers have daily flights available. Sofia airport benefits from short transfers of an hour or so to Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo for pre-packaged skiing holidays for the large tour operators.
Travelling independently
There is no train connection with Sofia airport, however the it’s just 10 kilometres east of the centre of Sofia. You can catch the regular shuttle to Sofia’s main bus station, once there you can hop on a public bus to all of the major ski resorts.
As it’s longer than a 24 hour drive from Calais to resort, this isn’t a very popular choice for self-drivers.
