Montgenevre

Overview

The only French resort linked to the mainly Italian Milky Way skiing circuit, sunny Montgenevre is bursting with alpine charm. Perched at 1850m, the high-altitude slopes have guaranteed snow throughout the season. The family friendly inexpensive resort has lots of picturesque tree lined runs and breathtaking scenery to get snap-happy with on your skiing holiday.

Skiing in Montgenevre

Encompassing a considerable 400km of pisted runs, The Milky Way circuit is made up of resorts Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx, Sansiscario, Cesana, Claviere and Montgenevre. Locally speaking, beginners are well catered for with nursery slopes right next to resort. Intermediates will have 60kms of local trails to choose from, and can head over into Italy for further adventure, but beware of the low points getting across and back as you may end up walking a little at the beginning and end of season. Experts will find some difficult terrain locally, but will find more over the border.
