With 240km of extremely varied pistes, Breckenridge is hard to beat in terms of what it can offer skiers and boarders. Beginner skiing holidays will benefit from a dedicated 30% of Peak 9, which is right beside the resort base, with most of the remaining slopes perfect for intermediate level skiers. Peak 8 is also good for intermediates and Peak 7 has the best bowls to ski around. Peak 10 grades 80% of its terrain black, it’s a Mecca for the advanced or expert skiers looking for a decent challenging skiing area.
Snowboarding in Breckenridge
Breckenridge is a big player in the US snowboarding scene. Snowboarding has a lot to thank Breckenridge for as it dramatically helped develop snowboarding into a mainstream popular sport. The quality of the freeriding terrain here is excellent with its range of big wide open pistes. The Freeway terrain park (one of five in the skiing area!) is groomed and maintained daily and is notably one of the best in North America with its 35ft-75ft high lines of various jumps and super pipe.
