Skiing in Jackson Hole
The reputation of skiing here is heavily associated with expert level pistes. Despite this, learners have their own Beginner Centre which boasts highly-rated teaching, ski hire and ticketing set-up. There are about 30 runs for the intermediate skier or snowboarder, ample for a week-long holiday. Jackson Hole really shines as an advanced skiers’ and snowboarders’ resort; the serious enthusiasts can charge down the mountain until their heart’s content! The most famous tracks are the Corbet’s Couloir and Everest. Sometimes closed for being unskiable, Eclipse Ski recommends taking great caution when skiing down, as even the most gifted skiers have incurred serious injury here. If you fancy a spot of heli-skiing, there are 5 mountain ranges (yes 5!) that you can drop onto from resort.
Snowboarding in Jackson Hole
With much of the best terrain here being black trails, Jackson Hole appeals to boarders looking for a buzz. Amongst these there are plenty of marked out pistes and back country trails, The Green River Bowl or Cody Bowl proving to be popular for freeriding. The terrain parks are down from Thunder Chair and Apres Vous Chair. There is a great snowboarding school here, including half-pipe training.
