Skiing in Soll

The massive ‘Ski Welt’ skiing area lift-pass links the neighbouring resorts Brixem im Thale, Ellmau, Going, Scheffau Westendorf and bus-linked Kitzbuhel and Itter. However, the bus link to Kitzbuhel may take a while. Locally, beginner skiers should be happy with the local ski pass which covers 34km on the Hohe Salve area. Intermediates will find Soll an excellent choice with the endless scenic pisted runs. Advanced skiers will be happy to know Soll has a choice of a few hair-raising black runs and off –piste opportunities galore.

Snowboarding in Soll

Snowboarding in Soll is great for beginners. Intermediates can get their fill of thrills in Westendorf with all the blues and reds. If you fancy a good freeride snowboarding trip, we recommend riding down the south face of the mountain from the Hohe Salve or the long trail down towards Brixen Gondola. Freestylers will find their playgrounds at nearby resorts Westendorf and Ellmau.

Accommodation in Soll

It is possible to find very cheap skiing deals in Soll, most of the town accommodation is south of the highway, with the lifts and ski school meeting point north of the highway. Depending on where you are staying in resort, this could be a walk in your ski boots in the morning, but the local ski bus is frequent and a better option. Ski holiday accommodation is generally very well laid out for the slopes and there is a variety of apartments, ski chalets and hotels to choose from.

Apres in Soll

The apres in Soll boasts heaps of holiday restaurants and bars to visit. The resort had a reputation amongst the Brits as a party town in the 90's, but this has faded away now, although there are still a couple of late night venues for those with energy, particularly the 'Whisky Muhle.'  There are some other late night haunts for those who want to party until the small hours or some really good live music venues are also easy to find.
