Skiing in Courmayeur

Uplift in the mornings can be slow with one main gondola running out from the centre of town, but Italian aren’t known for early rising! The Chercrouit skiing area is largely suited to beginners and intermediates although serious skiers will be delighted to see the off-piste opportunities. Expert skiers will also love the Mont Blanc, or Mont Bianco as it’s locally known, which lives up to its reputation for superb skiing, ideal for mixed ability skiing holidays to Italy. The Courmayeur lift pass also grants access to other ski areas in the Aosta Valley. To spice up your skiing holiday, there is a World Cup Downhill and the International 6km pisted run drops 1000m as you descend. Snowboarding in Courmayeur

The snowboarding in Courmayeur is great for freeriding, try the pretty tree-lined runs  down from Cresta D’Arp, or attempt the descent into world-renowned Vallee Blanche, although you’ll need to catch the bus home, it’ll be well worth the trip.
