Skiing in Passo Tonale

Italy’s fastest growing skiing area, Passo Tonale links Italian regions Trentino and Lombardy. Part of the Skirama Adamello-Brenta area, the resort has direct access to 100km of downhill skiing suitable for all levels. With 6 beginner lifts at village level that serve the snow-sure slopes, it's a fantastic resort for beginners, particularly due to its excellent ski school. Intermediates will love the long run that leads down from Cima Bleis chair. The skiing has no tree-lined runs, however it does have an excellent snow record. From the top, you will find stunning views over the Lake Garda. Even though this resort appeals to mainly beginner and intermediate level skiers, there are still a few slopes for the more experienced skier. Check out the Paradiso run, the steeper-than-steep track drops around 700m in just 2km. If that’s not enough of a stomach churner, Eclipse Ski dares you to take on the off piste Pisgana slope, one of the most challenging in the world. It’s 14km long with a 2000m vertical drop.

Snowboarding in Passo Tonale

If wide open long runs are your thing, then Passo Tonale is the top snowboarding resort for you. Take a guide and try out the backcountry valley that features some good couloirs if you don’t mind a short hike. Eclipse Ski’s hot tip for snowboarding in Passo Tonale is to head to the runs from chair lifts named ‘25’ and ‘26’ which are good reds with access to a little off piste.
