Skiing in St. Moritz

Home to the Winter Olympics in 1928 and 1948, the St. Moritz resort is part of the Upper Engadine skiing area. Skiing amongst the 350km of piste and some of the worlds best vertical drops, the glacier slopes are snow-sure for a week of cruising down the pistes on a mixed ability ski holiday to St. Moritz. Beginners might not be able to tackle the steep gradients straight away, however if they head to the Corviglia funicular there are some nice runs back down to the town. Intermediates will have 70% of the area with wide slopes to cruise down. There is a good 8km run down from the Piz Nair to Celerina. Advanced skiers will get their hearts racing with the decent amount of black runs spread out across the mountains.
