The two lift- connected resorts at Arinsal and Pal are known collectively as the Vallnord ski area. The area has had a beautiful makeover with lots of fresh investment into the pistes. It’s perfect for both group and family ski holidays.
Skiing in Arinsal
Brand spanking new modern lifts, snow canons and gondolas have all been installed across Arinsal and Pal. If you buy the Andorra Le Vella lift pass, you’ll be given access to the whole Andorra skiing area, including the Grandvalira area encompassing villages Soldeu, El Tarter and Pas de la Casa, although you will need a car to get around to those other popular villages.
Arinsal has lovely big wide-open slopes ideal for beginners, whilst Pas is a network of pretty tree lined runs to swish down the mountain. Beginner skiers and snowboarders should start off in Arinsal, then progress to the long sweeping blues Pas has to offer. Advanced skiers looking for a challenge should head to the longest black run in Andorra, ‘Le Devesa’.
Snowboarding in Arinsal
If you’re going snowboarding Arinsal-Pas try the small specialised freeride area ‘Les Fonts.’ The boardpark has rails to fly down and kickers to jump over. There is also 110m half pipe and boarder cross.
Apres in Arinsal
Apres in Arinsal has a great reputation. With booze and cigarettes tax free, going out to party is easy on the pocket. The village has a variety of cafes, restaurants, bars, and night clubs you’ll find plenty to keep you busy 24/7.
Fancy a sublime British lunch whilst enjoying the sun on your skiing holiday? Our hot tip is to try the Panoramix Restaurant at 1950m in Arinsal for the largest sun terrace in Andorra for spectacular views.
