Ischgl is an exciting and picturesque ski resort dating back a thousand years, benefiting from a well designed piste and lift infrastructure (kind of old meets new in the best of ways). One of Austria’s largest skiing areas, Tyrolean Ischgl has high altitude skiing granting a snow-secure season longer than most other European skiing resorts. With fast modern lifts and a great snow record, Ischgl has access to over 200km of downhill skiing, with 52 individual pistes served by 42 ski lifts. Part of the largest skiing area of the Eastern Alps, the Silvetta ski area, Ischgl and Galtur are two areas linked by bus covered on the same ski pass.
Beginner skiers have the luxury here of a dedicated gentle plateau half way up the skiable area. Intermediates have 6 different valleys of pistes to choose from. Snowboarders loyally return to Ischgl year on year to the big wide open long sweeping runs. It has a world-famous excellent fun park offering excellent terrain for all carving ability levels, it even has a floodlit half pipe for night-boarding!

Nearly as famous for its hedonistic atmosphere as it is for its quality slopes, the nightlife scene here is glitzy and lively. As well as bars, there is a multitude of over 40 restaurants to choose from. Ischgl is famed for its dazzling beginning and end of season parties, featuring chart-toppers such as Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Rhianna and Elton John, all performing in front of the picturesque Tyrolean backdrop!
