Technical performance apparel brand, FLŌA, launched its second base layer collection earlier this season.
The new All Action collection is manufactured in partnership with the Portuguese factory who made Usain Bolt’s running kit for the Rio 2016 Olympics and is made from a highly breathable Dri Release fabric that is mixed with Tencel to create the FLŌA-SOFT concept that blends high performance ultimate comfort and luxury style.
The All Action collection is designed for dedicated mountain sports enthusiasts who require a technical garment, and follows FLŌA’s launch Backcountry collection last season that is made from a Merino blended yarn for elite athletes and industry professionals who enjoy big mountain, off piste free riding and alpine pursuits such as ski touring, cross country and split boarding.
A Radical Extension To The FLŌA Base Layer Range
The Sean Pankhurst (Nike, Canterbury, Dunlop, Debenhams) designed collection blends hydrophobic and hydrophilic fibres to dramatically improve how wetness is pulled from the skin and away from the body. There’s a Close Body Fit that aids performance and recovery, Closed Hole Mesh ventilation and Merrow stitch seams with a folded cuff finish.
With Round Neck and Half Zip options available in tops for men and women, complemented by both Full and 3/4 Length pant options, the premium base layer offers a radical extension to the FLŌA range and performs equally as well in mountain conditions, the general outdoors or indoor sports environments.
Founder of FLŌA Sports, Fergie Miller, said:
“Following the success of the Backcountry Baselayer, we wanted to introduce a garment that appealed to a wide audience, but kept all the industry-leading technical and comfort properties that we had developed with our team.
The All Action baselayer is designed for a wide range of sports such as trail running, climbing, hiking, cycling, yoga and Pilates as well as skiing and snowboarding. Our team has spent a lot of time researching and developing what we believe is the best multi-use action sports base layer on the market”.
FLŌA – An Exciting New Brand To Keep An Eye On
Launched in 2018 by former ski racer, founder of instructor training company Base Camp and entrepreneur Fergie Miller, FLŌA has quickly become synonymous with high-performance apparel centred around the sport science of ‘flow’.
The brand has attracted a growing list of athletes keen to work with such an innovative, fresh and dynamic company that is led by Richie Permin, one of the biggest names in backcountry skiing.
Other athletes followed, including Jack Gower (British Downhill Ski Champion), Maisie Potter (British Snowboard Cross Team), Camille Armand (Snowboard Freeride World Tour), Lia Leuenberger (Swiss Snowboard Freeride Champion) and Ruth Frutos (Spanish Junior Freeride Ski Champion).
The All Action baselayer retails from £84 for a top or bottom and comes in black, white as well as FLŌA’s trademark Silver. For more details on the All Action collection and to discover more about FLŌA head over over to floasports.com
